AB De Villiers was born on February 17, 1984 in Warmbad, South Africa. Now he is one of the best batsmen in international cricket. He is one of the most powerful people in the world today. Also De Villiers is now the fastest cricketer in the country. Talented from an early age, AB De Villiers is as good at badminton, golf, tennis and rugby as he is a cricketer.

He chose cricket as the coaches and his father played for the national rugby union team. Watching him bat is one of the most memorable scenes in international cricket, and AB calls Mr. 360 in India because of his exceptional goal scoring ability and speed in the Indian Premier League.

Personal Life of AB de Villers

AB De Villiers proposed to his girlfriend, Danielle Swart, at the Taj Mahal in 2012, after five years of dating.
The couple got married on March 30, 2013 in Bela-Bela, South Africa. They have two sons and one daughter.
He is a religious Christian and explained how his faith in Jesus is important in his life and work. He also said that the Bible is his favorite book.
He is also a musician and singer. In 2010, he released a bilingual pop album titled Maak Jou Drome Waar with his friend and South African singer Ampie du Preez.
He is a football enthusiast and a big supporter of Manchester United Football Club. His biography was released in September 2016.

International Carrer of AB DE Villiers

Carrer in Test

After impressing the selectors during his short stint in first class, AB de Villiers signed him up with the big leagues to play Test cricket. AB de Villiers made his Test debut with Dale Steyn against England on December 17, 2004 aged 20. ABD quickly impressed cricket experts as he scored a well-designed 52 runs in his four Test innings and saved South Africa from an impending defeat. He also recorded his first Test century in the series – a soft 109 at his home ground in Centurion. In terms of special measures, ABD has proven to be of this level.

After a brief dip in form in 2006 and 2007, de Villiers returned at the start of 2008 with a 103 off 109 balls in Durban against the West Indies. In the first Test in Perth, De Villiers scored a match-winning century to help South Africa chase the second-highest total in four innings of 414 with six wickets in hand. It was South Africa’s first win over Australia in 15 years and looks set to continue to restore the balance of power in world cricket after more than a decade of Australian rule. Apart from his usual style of cricket, AB de Villiers is also known for his defensive style of cricket when the situation calls for it.

As South Africa struggled to save the Adelaide Test against Australia on the Down Under tour in 2012-13, de Villiers gave up his creative ambitions and fought his way to 33 off 220 balls in one of the most thrilling performances of all time.

Carrer in ODI

AB made their ODI debut against England on 2 February 2005 in Bloemfontein. England batted first and scored 270/5 in their 50 overs. South Africa also scored 270 for seven runs to tie the game. AB scored 20 off 56 balls. ABD made their first ODI hundred, 146 from 130 balls including 5 sixes and 12 fours, in a Super 8 World Cup match against West Indies on April 10, 2007.

His performances at the 2015 World Cup single-handedly sent the South African team to the finals of the quadrennial tournament. Heading into the semis, ABD hit the fastest ODI 150 against West Indies in 64 deliveries.

Carrer in T20I

The face of innovation in modern cricket, AB’s achievements in the game of magnitude are better than numbers. His T20 debut came against Australia on 24 February 2006 at the Wanderers Stadium. De Villiers faced just 3 no-run balls and it didn’t come out. On 21 February 2016, against England, de Villiers scored the fastest T20I by South Africa, in 21 balls. He scored 79 runs in 29 balls and led South Africa to a clean sweep in the T20I series.

In January 2020, de Villiers was rumored to be in talks to return to South Africa’s T20I squad for the 2020 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. de Villiers himself has confirmed the rumours, but with COVID-19 pushing back the World Cup by a year, players are eagerly waiting for AB de Villiers to return.

AB de Villiers Receives Multiple Awards and records

On 18 January 2015, De Villiers scored both the 50th and the fastest centuries by a batsman in One Day International cricket, in 16 balls and 31 balls respectively and scored 149 off 44 balls in 59 minutes. .5 against West Indies.
Throughout his career, AB de Villiers has received numerous ‘Player of the Series’ and ‘Man of the Match’ awards. He is a three-time ICC ODI player of the year, winning the award in 2010, 2014 and 2015.
Some of the most remarkable records that he has achieved in his career are half-centuries and centuries in ODIs, fastest 150 in ODIs, most sixes in ODIs and fastest to reach 9000 runs in ODIs. He is the first South African to score a double century in a World Cup, and the first South African to score a double century for India.
In November 2020, de Villiers was nominated for the Sir Garfield Sobers ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Decade Award and the ODI Cricketer of the Year Award.
