Australian Cricketer Aaron Finch
Aaron Finch (born 17 November 1986) is an Australian cricketer who leads the Australian cricket team in the cricket world. Finch currently holds the record for two of the three highest runs by an individual in Twenty20 Internationals (T20I), his tally of 172 against Zimbabwe in July 2018 beating the previous record of 156 against England in 2013. In July 2018, he became the first player to reach 900 runs in the official International Cricket Council (ICC) T20I rankings. He made his Test debut for Australia in October 2018. Finch plays nationally for Victoria, Surrey and Melbourne Renegades. He is a master of the position and the occasional left turn.

Finch made his ODI debut on 11 January 2013 against Sri Lanka. The highest scorer and the fastest Australian to 10 ODI centuries, Finch also holds the record for half-centuries by an Australian in ODIs – 50 runs in 18 balls. Finch was also part of Australia’s 2015 Cricket World Cup squad. He scored 135 runs in his first World Cup in England for which he won the man of the match award. Aaron Finch played in the 2010 ‘Airtel Champions League Twenty20’ tournament for the ‘Victorian Bushrangers.’ In the same year, he was selected by ‘IPL’ team ‘Rajasthan Royals.’ The following year he was bought by another IPL franchise “Delhi Daredevils” for 300,000 USD.

Finch grew up in Victoria and first served as a wicket keeper in his youth. Like many young people in his country, he also played Australian rules football. Finch was part of the Australian team in the 2006 ICC Under-19 World Cup. He participated in the tournament alongside David Warner, his future opener for Australia’s One Day Open (ODI). Future internationals Usman Khawaja and MoisesHenriques are also part of this team.
At the age of 21, Finch made his debut for Victoria against India at the Junction Oval, Melbourne. It was a friendly match for India before the Boxing Day Test. John Hastings also made his first class debut in this game. It was a rainy match as only 48 overs were possible, played by the Indians.

In his 89 innings in the T20 International against India in Rajkot in 2013, Finch hit 14 fours. This tied Herschelle Gibbs’ record of four wickets in T20 Internationals.
In 2014 Finch played for Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) against the rest of the World XI at Lord’s. He opened the batting with Sachin Tendulkar and batted with Brian Lara, Rahul Dravid and ShivnarineChanderpaul in his 181 unbeaten innings. Finch, who had not played a Test till today, on that day in Lord’s, beat the batsmen with a total of 52,846 runs.
