Her father was adamant about the plan despite the obvious fear of being caught. Admiring Sachin Tendulkar, Shefali is also a big fan of AB de Villiers. His batting style as a batsman is a legacy of Virender Sehwag’s legacy.

Early life

Verma is the brightest talent in Indian cricket and because he is only eighteen now, not much is known about him. Born on January 28, 2004 in Rohtak, Haryana, she said in an interview that she used to play cricket dressed as a boy in Rohtak, due to the lack of infrastructure to support women’s cricket in rural areas.

Her Family

Verma came from a middle-class Hindu family and lived with his parents and older brother. Her father’s name is Sanjeev Verma while his mother’s name is Praveen Bala. She also has a brother named Sahil Verma. He credits his father for his work and success, as he took him to training when he was only 8 years old.

A string of good performances and nothing can stop Shafali from achieving his dream. Some luck and a bit of luck on Raj’s vacation gave Verma his first chance. Making his debut against South Africa, he fell short in the opener after being dismissed for a duck. On an off day at the stadium, he scored 46 runs to end the streak for India. Average start but Shafali has shown promise and his fearless approach is what gave him a chance.

The next series, against the West Indies, will always be important. But Shafali did not disappoint as the heir to the ‘Mitali Raj’ throne.

In the T20 debut, he hit 73 balls from 49 balls and broke the 30-year-old record of his idol, Sachin Tendulkar to become the youngest Indian cricketer to score an international half-century for India. . A similar impasse followed when he hit 69 from just 35 balls! A 15-year-old, just one height, making international bowlers look like school-level cricketers is something you rarely see.

A month later, she got a chance to represent India Women A against Australia Women A in an unofficial ODI and T20 series. Seizing the opportunity with both hands, Verma rocked the bowling as he scored 78 balls in 124 innings.

Hitting 19 balls and 4 sixes, he earned a well-deserved praise from Australian coach Leah Poulton. “It’s not your typical Indian opening bat,” Poulton said. “Over the years, they’ve created these open-air baths with these remarkable systems that are really intelligent, when it comes down to just pure energy.”
