Biography of Jos Buttler
Jos Buttler was born in the Somerset region of England on September 08 in the year 1990. This is an English right-handed wicket-keeper batsman who has played in the England national cricket team for many years. He was still young when he was first exposed to competitive cricket at the age of 11. Jos represented the English county of Somerset in the youth team in the Under-13, Under-15 and Under-17 categories.
He bowls for his school team in junior level cricket tournaments.
In 2009 he made his senior debut where he was called up to replace the injured Justin Langer. Although he failed to make an impact on his debut and sealed his place in the team, his limited performances could not be seen. Before long, he was called for some parts of Somerset limited. He used this opportunity to be called Krieg Kieswetter for the national team and Jos was happy to stay in the team for a long time.
For that heroics, he was awarded the Wisden School Young Cricketer of the Year 2010. It was then, in 2011, that the national team was invited to play T20 against India and West Indies in England. But could not hit in the first two matches and could only score 13 runs in his second chance against West Indies. Jos Butler made his ODI debut against Pakistan in United Arab Emirates in 2012. He later replaced Kreig Kieswetter as the first wicketkeeper in the national team. He completed his first international half-century against New Zealand in a T20i the same year.
Since then, he has always been an integral part of England’s limited-edition team, in every order. For example, his blinding innings of 99 in the third ODI against West Indies helped his team win the series. He continued the same form in the T20i series but England lost. He also played a major role for the England side during the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh.
Family and personal life
Jos married his long time girlfriend Louise Buttler on October 21, 2017 and shared the good news on Instagram. In April 2019, Louise gave birth to a daughter and shared her photo on Instagram. In 2015, he was involved in a fight at the Auction House Bar.
In 2018, she was again involved in controversy when Jos’ bat was found to have lewd messages written on it.
In ‘IPL’ 2019, R. Ashwin’s mankading (controversial fatigue rule in cricket) by Jos Butler has sparked controversy among players and critics.
