- Yashasvi Jaiswal was born on December 28, 2001 in Suriyawan, Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh.
- He is the fourth of six children of Bhupendra Jaiswal. His father owns a small hardware store and his mother Kanchan Jaiswal is a housewife.
- At the age of ten, he moved to Dadar, Mumbai to get cricket training at Azad Maidan. Since Dadar was far from Maidan, he moved to Kalbadevi area where he was kept in the milk for poor labor exchange.
- The shopkeeper eventually fired him because he couldn’t help the shop in the middle of his cricket match. With no place of his own, Jaiswal stayed in a tent with Maidan farmers, where he was often hungry and sold panpuri to earn sustenance.
- After living in a tent for three years, Jaiswal’s cricketing talent was spotted by Jwala Singh, who ran a cricket school in Santacruz, in December 2013. Singh took Jaiswal under his wing and gave him a place to stay, before becoming his legal guardian and getting his lawyer’s license.

- Yashasvi Jaiswal made his A-list cricket debut for Mumbai in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
At 17, he became the youngest player to score a double century in List A cricket after hitting 203 off 154 balls against Jharkhand. Jaiswal’s amazing batting performances earned him a place in the national under-19 cricket team.
